NRDC workshop focuses on IPR, tech commercialisation

Visakhapatnam: National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) organised a workshop on “strengthening MSMEs through technological innovation: Intellectual property rights & technology transfer & commercialisation” under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) initiative in collaboration with the Andhra Pradesh MSME Development Corporation.
The workshop held at at Ratan Tata Innovation Hub (RTIH) here evoked an encouraging response.
The program highlighted the State’s landmark “One Family – One Entrepreneur” policy by fostering a culture of innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology adoption among MSMEs and startups. Further, in alignment with India’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 and the Government of Andhra Pradesh’s Swarna Andhra 2047 mission, intend tocreate a globally competitive, self-reliant, and inclusive economy.
Among others, Commodore Amit Rastogi (retd.), CMD, NRDC and Dr Jitendra Sharma, MD & Founder CEO, AMTZ and other senior executives of the MSMEs department, Government of India, and Andhra Pradesh respectively, attended. Cmde Rastogi in his remarks appreciated APMSME officials for joining the hand for IP and innovative technologies' infusion. Dr Jitendra Sharma congratulated NRDC for making a ecosystem driven innovation activities at city of destiny and shared his mission on medtech innovation in the country.
Over 120 participants representing MSMEs, startups, researchers and government and industries bodies took part in the workshop.
It targeted diverse stakeholders of the innovation ecosystem such as MSMEs, startups, governance, PSUs and academia.
